# Setting up Inheritance for the 5-Key Vault

## Follow these steps to set up Inheritance for your 5-Key or 6-Key Vault.

### Vault Owner Setup

01. **Access Casa App:** Once your 5-Key Vaults are set up, open the Casa app on your mobile device to initiate your inheritance plan.
02. **Navigate to the Inheritance Tab:** Within the Casa app interface, tap on the "Inheritance" tab to proceed.
03. **Initiate Setup:** Under the "Setup" tab within the Inheritance section, tap "Get Started" to kickstart the process.
04. **Review How it Works:** Take a moment to scroll through and understand the provided steps detailing the Inheritance process.
05. **Continue:** Once you're ready, tap "Continue" to move forward.
06. **Add Recipient Email:** Enter the email address of your chosen recipient and confirm it for accuracy.
07. **Review Details:** Double-check all information and terms of service by tapping on "Review Details."
08. **Send Invitation:** After confirming, click "Send Invite" to dispatch the email invitation to your recipient.

### Recipient Setup

10. **Recipient Actions:** Your Recipient will receive an email invitation, prompting them to download the Casa app and proceed with setup.
11. **Open Casa App:** On their device, they should open the Casa app and navigate to the "Inheritance" tab.
12. **Initiate Setup:** Tap "Finish Setup" on the Inheritance management screen to begin.
13. **Scan QR Code:** Tap "Scan QR Code" and scan the QR code provided by the vault owner to import the Mobile Key
14. **Success Confirmation:** Upon successful scanning, they'll receive a confirmation of success, indicating they now have access to a copy of your Casa Mobile Key.
15. **Set up Hardware Key to Vault:** Tap "Set Up Key." Follow the instructions to perform a health check on that key. Instructions will vary depending on the manufacturer of the hardware device you are adding.
